When and where are the classes?

Start the week with a powerful slow flow and also enjoy a 15 minute guided relaxation, Yoga Nidra.

Weekly classes are Monday nights – 7.45pm to 9pm

St Paul’s Academy, Abbey Wood, Finchale Rd Abbey Wood SE2 9PX

There is free parking on the school premises as well as free on the street parking.Advise arriving 5 to 10 minutes early as there is usually only one member of security staff on duty.

Are the classes closed on Bank holidays etc?

Yes, please note our closing dates.

  • Easter Monday: Monday 22 April

  • Early May bank holiday: Monday 6 May

  • Spring bank holiday: Monday 27 May

  • Summer bank holiday: Monday 5 August

  • Summer bank holiday: Monday 26 August

Do I have to book?

Yes please, Monday night classes at St Paul’s Academy are booked online.

I have never done yoga, can I join a class?

Our classes are all levels, these are group classes and we don’t offer 121 instructions for brand new students

If you are brand new to yoga, there are certain postures that are helpful for you to learn so you can feel comfortable in a class.

This helpful article  breaks down 10 poses that you will encounter in most of our classes.

To help you feel more confident in your yoga practise, we advise joining one of our 4 week beginners courses.

What should I bring?
Please bring a bottle of water and your own mat.

I am pregnant, can I attend?

If you are pregnant and have an awareness and knowledge of the poses, our teachers will provide you with suitable modifications, please let the teacher know before the class that you are pregnant.

Classes are suitable for pregnancy (from the 2nd trimester onwards).

If you are pregnant and brand new to yoga we don’t advise booking on to a group class.

Do classes get cancelled?

Classes will only be cancelled in event of an emergency or teacher injury.

We will endeavor to find a replacement teacher but sometimes this is difficult at short notice.

In case of any cancellation by Abbey Wood Yoga we will refund your full fee or give you a class credit. You are responsible for any travel or other expenses you may have incurred.

What is the cancellation policy if I miss my class?

Note block booked classes are non refundable, non transferable once booked.

You may pass on your booking onto another student, as long as you notify us via email info@abbeywoodyoga.com

Please note that no refunds will be offered the day before or on the day of a class. If a class is cancelled by us, you will be offered a credit, or the option to transfer to another class of equal value
